Protests are the one place that bad flag etiquette is everywhere. People dressed in flags,flags on the ground, flags with writing all over them. A photo from any American protest is the poster for what NOT to do.
As you can see here we have the Mexican Flag and American flag, tied together in love. I could see letting this one go in most cases, however the genious who created this cluster-bomb wrote on the American Flag! They shouldn’t have tied the flags together in the first place, but they definitely shouldn’t have written on the flag. Insignia or writing of any kind is defacing the American Flag and against U.S. Flag Code.
The person behind them is wearing their American flag as a cape ready to take flight and get their word out.
If people have so much time to attend a protest, perhaps they should read a flag etiquette book as well.
